I grew up in a large household in Panama City, Panama, where my father worked most of his professional career for the U.S. Government (the Panama Canal). From an early age, my big family upbringing taught me how to balance individual responsibilities with team work. At the same time, having the tropics in my back-yard helped nurture a sense of adventure, exploration, and curiosity that remains with me to this day.

I left Panama to pursue undergraduate studies in the U.S., and I was able to leverage the opportunity to break into the highly competitive world of investment banking, and eventually private equity investing. During my career I have completed transformative transactions and initiatives for companies in the semiconductor, oil & gas, real estate, power, industrial, retail, and agricultural spaces.

In my investor role, I have led the various phases of the investment process: capital raising, developing investment theses, sourcing potential targets, analyzing opportunities, and executing transactions. I have also managed investments at various stages of development, from earlier stage to mid-market, and in that process provided companies with hands-on support on key initiatives such as development and execution of budgets, business plans, and strategic objectives. I have also assisted portfolio companies with governance, capital allocation, corporate development, and M&A.

The part I have enjoyed most about my career has been working with teams to achieve challenging goals. While my professional life has been greatly rewarding, I decided to pursue a different path where I could focus on results beyond just the bottom-line, and where I could create shared value for all stakeholders. I look forward to applying my experience to serve long-term value creation within a single company, carrying forward the legacy of the business’ founder.

I live in NYC with my wife Andrea. Outside of work I am an avid advocate of education, and enjoy fishing, scuba diving, and cycling.
